    Coverting a logo to Gcode

I have a logo that i want to be able to cut and engrave (see below) and have been trying to convert it with deskart and another graphic to gcode program.

I can't seem to get any of them to give me the outline of the logo and end up with bits of it or in a 3D form which I dont want.

Any ideas ? or programs that can convert simple graphics like clipart rather than pictures etc.

Am I right that you have a problem with the picture of the plane only? If yes, I think BobArt will help you and the writing you can add after that.

you can always bring it into cad and trace the image, sometimes faster than fooling around with different programs trying to convert it.

Thanks for that, tried trace before and only managed to get streight lines, is there anyway that Autocad can define the outline itself

Main Size I intend to do it is about 6" wide, but would like to also do smaller and larger versions once I figure out how to do any

OK the 1st pic is a simulation of .5mm deep, 2mm stock, 3mm End Mill

2nd is same stock and depth, but using a 3mm ball nose, and will take 3-4 the time to cut.

Here is the g-codes for the 3mm ball end which is what is needed, if you have some extra 3mm end mill I would just take it and stick it into a drill press, and use a grinder while it spins to round the nose of it, a cheap way to get a ball nose.

one is (mm) and one is (in)
