Joe, really impressive.

Would you mind sharing what steps / software you used to do that please.

I'm also heading along the lines of xairflyer but there's so much to learn.

Thanks.

What he's giving you is 3D, but you said that's not what you want?

Yes Ger I have just realised that this morning when I went to run it, As my machine at the moment (still using 12v and 8mm all thread) is only doing about 12in min it would take for ever to cut like this.

Joe when I looked at your first picture it looked like to me that the logo was cut out of the material rather than the material cut around it.

What I want to do is cut the logo out of the lexan like picture below.

I have been able to get some sucess with 3d conversions with deskart but again not what I want.

The g-code does cut the logo into the material, you may want to run it on a scrap wood 1st, thats what i always do, and also set the z zero just above the piece to 0.02mm this will avoid the 0.005 and the 0.017 cuts into the work piece around the logo.

Joe, he just wants to make 1 pass around the outside, not carve it.

here is the proceedure I looked at your picture on the screen and on the keyboard (depress print screen sys rq). then open paint or photo shop or picture software. top left of screen edit paste. then save as(what ever) now I use bobcad/cam v19 and bobart 2d 3d it took me less than ten minutes to cut your pic from start to finish.

if you need help email me troyswoodworking@msn.com or call anytime troys accurate machining wood and metal Troy S Mariotti clinton twps michigan 586-412-9681

bobcad/cam is very easy to use!!!

That looks good troyswood, unfortunatly I really can't afford $1500 for bobcad/cam as good as it seems to be, I would',t mind paying the $175 for deskart if I thought it would do the job. If I can learn how to use the trace in autocad like was suggested it will have to do for now.

The picture of the girl was only what I was telling Joe what I wanted to do with the Logo at the top of the thread.
