Mill a Square with C and X Axis?

We have a Daewoo Puma Inverturn 3000M with a Fanuc 18i-TB control. This machine has live tooling and C axis capabilities I need to mill an ID square into the face of the part is this possible with just the C and X axis the square is 3.015 by 3.015 with .375 radius in the corners using a ½ inch end mill if it is possible could some one post some sample g code I am drawing a blank on this one.

    Thanks

I believe that you have the Polar Interpolation option. Maybe this will help.

    XY Program to XC

I just had a recent experience where we used XY program with a G-Code which translated it to XC on a Haas.

    Can read about it here...http://www.cncbasicsforum.com/index.php?topic=79.0

Kinda neat for straight up programming. I guess other lathes have similar codes out there. Fanuc and Haas are pretty close for codes, so a Fanuc might have the same feature.

Yes, it's called Polar Interpolation. See post below.

After looking over the PDF on this site I am a bit confused. Like I say, I don't do much on lathes..

In my example, we took a XY program spit out of Mastercam Mill and just loaded that program in our Haas. We called up the G112 before the XY program and the machine interpreted the XY linear moves to XC moves.

Is this the same a Polar Interpolation or is this something that Haas just offers as a Linear translation?
