Hello - I need to program a radius of .075 and I did it as follow: This is just the radius of .075 in a corner using a .312 end mill.(this is the part of the program with the trouble, we are not getting the radius). Tool is already at X0.0. I hope I'm giving enough info. G2X.234Y-1.154R.075F15. Incremental G91G2X.075Y-.075R.075F15. questions: -does the size of the tool matter?? -do you need to program "X" always first???. Please any corrections will be appreciate it Jorge |

| Jorge, I am a bit confused. When you say inside a corner are you trying to do a female radius?? Your tool plays a part with female radiuses. you cannot spin a female radius smaller than your tool radius. IIRC it won’t matter if X is before Y. Stevo |

| Stevo is correct. The X - Y order doesn't matter when it's in the same line (assuming the control is following ISO standards). And if this is an internal radius (like in a pocket) and you are using cutter comp, the machine can't do a radius smaller than the tool's radius. Post more of your program if you can. |

| Thanks guys - Sorry, couldnt get back here earlier. This is NOT a packet.... From a chamfer, they wanted it to change it to radius. (do not know why). Im trying to replace the .075 x 45deg. to a .075 R. Thank you guys for yopur replays Jorge |

| If you are programming a radius, The size of the tool matters for INSIDE corners (<180°) but not for OUTSIDE corners (>180°) the order of words (X, Y, Z, R) is not important on most machines, but its best to get in a good habit, and stick with it so as not to confuse yourself or others later on. That said, if X doesn't change, for the most part you can leave it out entirely. As to you problem, why don't you post the SECTION of code that's giving you trouble, and we can troubleshoot the whole path, and give you a clear understanding of why it doesn't work the way you have it now. |

| Thank you guys. We found out the trouble. Some parameters and macros were altered to be able to use G13 - G12 (circle cutting) but by doing that they create a problem for the codes of circular interpolation. Big mess. The program was written right. Thank you again to all. Jorge |
