G-code to Kontron 5650A?

Is there a utility available (or a CAM program) that will communicate with a Kontron 5650A (ISA card)? I have one for controlling DC brush servos, but no way of dumping G-code to it.

Hi,

I have a pair of 5650a's that i just got from ebay, and am looking to control a cnc mill with one of them. Have you had any luck finding control software which supports closed loop servos? i have only just started looking around but emc looks promising, www.linuxcnc.org, i dont think the cards are supported, but it does do computer-in-loop control, so might not be too hard to interface to (assuming 5650a linux drivers can be found/written).

What control software do you already have?

I could find no G-Code interpreters for the 5650a. I decided that I did not want to spend my time writing one, so I bought a different controller.

If you come across a work around, let me know. I'd love to use the thing.

padhome: i have a partial work around for this, i have working linux driver source for some features of this board. It should be possible to use the new hardware abstraction layer to interface this board to EMC2, i just havent got around to trying it yet. If your interested in a copy of src just pm me.
