I have a short program I would like to run over and over without having the spindle stop, to eliminate the ramp up wait, and save on energy costs by not constantly starting and stopping (it's about a 10 second program). How do i do this? I imagine I can maunually edit the mach3 code to do it, but haven't been successful. I've tried eliminating the M commands but can't get it to do what i want. Thanks! |

| Just take the M codes out of your progam, and start the spindle before you start running parts. Stop it when you're done.

| Just noticed, in General Config, try unchecking the option to "Turn Off Spindle On M30".

thanks for help. Solution 1 works pretty well, but necessitates 2 cycle start hits between cycles, and maunual changing of each program. #2 which I had tried and couldn't make work, I didn't try again. And Ger had the best advice of all, a simple easily reversed config change, which I had looked for and missed. Thanks, this forum is the best!(And I"m so happy that my machine now runs well enough I seldom need it!) |
