Need Help!- Look Ahead Control Disabled

I operate a cincinnati c1500b laser with ge fanuc control 1996 model.They just moved the laser to a new location in shop.The tech they brought in to work on the laser has somehow disabled the Look Ahead Control function. The G8 P1 no longer works.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Doesn't work properly or the control no longer recognizes G8 command?
If it's 'not right'... he may have tweaked some gains settings, etc...
If it's 'not there'... he may have shut off the G8 option for some reason.

Either, I'd be calling that tech back and get him to get you back the way you were...
Did a battery croak? Did he have to reload parameters and settings?

I was not there, when the tech changed parameters or settings.The problem is, the control no longer recognizes G08 P1 in programs.I am just guessing he reloaded or changed paramenters or settings.If that is the case, how do I find the correct parameter numbers, in orders to change them?

The look ahead option will be listed in the parameters of your control. It only has two options -on or off. Not sure exactly where in the parameters it will be but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Do you have access to the parameter settings that came with your machine? They should have beem included with the order.

What is the model Fanuc that you are using O,6,10,15,18 etc.?
