hey i am working on a comprehensive page on g code any suggestions would be appreciated

When you make a statement that something is the case, you need to be sure that it is universally true. Otherwise, it would be a good idea to specify, what controller does it the way you are showing. Gcode varies tremendously from one machine manufacturer to another and from one cnc controller to another. For example, Mach and EMC2 both started using the interpreter from the NIST EMC program, but their gcode is not compatible today. That is why there are so many post processors for CAM programs.

G code will also vary from machine type, Mill, Lathe, Plasma/Gas, Router, Punch Press, EDM, Laser etc.
Although a lot of codes have become 'standardized' for each of the above formats.
