need help with auto radius and chamfering

I'm trying to make .005 radii on some od and id chamfers (mostly 45deg) and I am having trouble. I want a smooth burr free blend from the chamfers to the diameters. I haven't figured out cutter comp yet, I'm just doing straight turning/boring, I was wondering about using the auto radius function, I think I need to command a R(for radius), or a C(for chamfering ), but I not to sure of the format or positioning. For my first lathe job I'm setting up a twin spindle lathe with the faces of the spindles/turrets facing me (not perpendicular as normal). I'm not sure but I think maybe the quadrants change when the turret is on the opposite side of the spindle. I've tried 1-4 trying to G03 into the start of an ID chamfer with now luck. The tool makes a concave radius istead of the convex I need. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Have you tried G03, I, K for OD and G02, I, K for ID...works for me.
