I'm starting to use various programs to write gcode. Is there a program to take gcode and simulate what the cut product will look like? Emc2 is very nice to see the toolpath traces, but what I have in mind would produce a 3d object file, viewable by Blender. How do you debug your gcode? |

| http://www.cutviewer.com/index.html I don't think it will export a model to load into Blender, though.

Not being sarcastic, but to debug G-code you have to understand G-code programming. Any experienced programmer (g-code programmer, that is) can look through a program and find any errors in the program. Lot harder if you only know how to program using a software package. |

| NCPlot is a great way to easily learn G-Code, just move the cursor to the graphics, and it shows you the code or move to the code and it shows you the graphics. A great way to debug without firing up the machine. I write code, test and send it off for someone else to use. Machine is 700Km from me.
