how do I set x geometry for a fixed drill pass with the fanuc series O-TT control, here is the drill pass. % O1002(SUB 1-1/2 CR0SS) G50S800(MAX SPEED) T0505(Fixed Drill 1.5625) G96S400M3 G0G54X0.0M8 Z0.500 G1Z-2.00F0.005 G0Z8.0 X12.0M9 G28 U0 W0 T0500 M01 M99 % On the Fanuc Series 16 and 18 control The x geometry for tool 5 would be 0 for a fixed drill but thats not the case with the series O. how can i find the x value of the center line on the chuck?? I was thinking to put the fixed drill on the center of workpiece and type in mx0.0? would this work? and how do I know i'm directly in the center of workpiece??? any help would make my life easier!! thanks |

| I dont know how to program the zero but you can stick a dial indicator on yur chuck and run it around your drill to find the center. if what you programmed isnt on center, keep trying and testing with the indicator till you get it. i posted the picture to show the indicator ignore the rest. |
