Fred, can Rasterfratz create .dxf's that AutoCAD can open? ACAD 2002 couldn't open that one.

Gerry, do what you would do to open a DXF saved with Autocad rel 10,11,12,13,14, or 2000, but not in 2002. Maybe look for a file import or merge rather than a direct file open, which may be set to open DXF files created ONLY with rel 2002/2004/2005, etc.

I get an error message saying table flags missing on line 38 - invalid or incomplete .dxf

AutoCAD doesn't care what version it's opening. There are no options. You open a .dxf with the open command, and select .dxf in the file type box. Any version should open this way. I guess AutoCAD is more picky than most because it's their format. Does Rasterfratz have .dxf version options when saving or exporting?
