Question Control Plunge rate & Retract rate

Hello!
When I design a drill patern in my Cam program the G code that generate is with a general Feed-rate.
In program the Plunge rate & Retract rate fields are inactive.
also it does not include the tool feed-rate preferences.
the code that generates is something like that:

Any idea how to control the Plunge rate & Retract rate?
Lets say
Plunge rate 200
Retract rate 600

It's a canned cycle, and Plunge rate and Retract rate within a canned cycle depends on the control being used, if you can do it at all. What control are you using? What machine?

Macro?

Instead of using a simple G82 cycle, which is only going to give you one feedrate, you can create a macro and assign variables for the options you want. We have a macro I developed last year which allows me to step peck depths, assign multiple feedrates for primary, secondary plunge and retracts. Works extremely well with the form tooling we are using.

If you need help with the coding, PM me and I'll be glad to get you started...

In MCX and OP manager , Right click on the tool then "Edit Selected Operations"-"Edit Common Parameters".There you can change Plunge and retract rate.

The reason that I need to control the Plunge rate & Retract rate is for a dispense application.
In a drill pattern I need a higher Plunge rate than a Retract rate cause my drop s have to have a little more time to move away from the head. if not the head will move with the drops.
It sound a little complex but the video explain everything!
Finally I use artcam that gives a Gcode with F in every line. Then with a simple find & replace I change the Retract rate with a slower FEED.

George!
