no one in our shop can agree on the exact G76 numbers for an internal 1" 11-1/2 npt thread.

Fanuc 18i control on Daewoo 240 MSB turning center

please help

I've never seen a group of machinists agree on the exact numbers to use on NPT single point threading. There was a discussion a few months ago about this topic and there seems to be an agreement that you should pick a standard set of numbers for your shop and stick with them. Really, as long as the angle is right and the gage fits, it is up to you.

How do you figure the x and z dimension in a G76 execution line for NPT threads?

I know the thread depth is .8/tpi but do you subtract that from the od low limit

for the x dimension?
