Not sure this is the appropriate forum, but it is a G-Code issue/question from a beginner, let me know if I should post somewhere else. I'm using a program called CncSimulator, which is a free product from cncsimulator.com, to learn 3 axis milling. (before I crash my friends Lagun). Seems to run ok, but the help files and documentation leave a lot to be desired. I'm managing to "hack" my way thru most of the issues, but am having a lot of trouble with arcs. I don't think I really understand what the examples really are saying. I've run the spindle to a point, and tried to do a radius as well as an absolute endpoint with really variable success. The example file runs fine, I can make baby step changes and end up with an error almost instantly. Any pointers to good, well annotated, simple examples of arc code would really be great. |

| This is a page from the documentation for EMC but it does a good job of explaining the basic codes. http://www.linuxcnc.org/handbook/RS2...a.html#1002442 |
