Thumbs down Chamfering hole

Not sure if this the right area of the forum but here goes. I need to chamfer a .632 dia. hole that is crossed drilled on a 1.500 dia. (.010 chamfer all the way around) This involves the Y,Z and C axis working simultaniously. I have no idea how to program this. I do not have access to a cad program. I am running this on a Eurotech lathe with a Fanuac controller. Any help will be greatly appreciated. The hole center is Y0,Z-2.025.

Tom

If you have leeway on the angle of the chamfer to the hole it seems to me you could do this with only a C,Z simultaneous move.

Palerider is right, if you only need a break and not a consistant angle all the way around, you can use C,Z. More specifically you would use Milling Interpolation[Option] and the G16 Cylindrical Plane. Then it would be simple G2/G3 and the control does the calculation (interpolation) for you.

Otherwise, courtesy of Kiwi post #7,Here is a CNCForums link that may be able to be tweeked to generate some hard code for you.

Good luck!

This might do the trick. It's for a 3/8 X 90 chamfer mill
