| If I understand correctly you are asking whether we program for full simultaneous 5-axis motion, or positional (3+2 axis), right? In my case both. Dan

| He's asking whether the programing has calculated the tool length in the code or do you have to let the control software compute the required tool position based on tool length offsets. It depends on the software used to program the parts as well as the control pc driving the machine. Most of the OEM ones will do the offsets for you, most of the hobby level controls won't [Mach 3 for example, will not. EMC may, but needs custom programming to work] HTH J
