Hi, MAJOR NOVICE QUESTION LOL
I am after a bit of advice, I am trying learn how to use one of these machines its on an XYZ machine (Simens Sinumerik 810D)

I can set it up and program it easily with shop mill but I need to learn how to program it using Gcode, The actual program bit I am fine with but cant for the life of me work out how to set up the work off sets and most of all the tool setting....e.g. height off sets etc!

If any one can offer me any help please get in touch ASAP!

Some one? Any one lol!!

We can get the program to run perfectly but can put in the tool positions so at the moment its running the program in mid air!

hello lenny do you still need info with this 810d controler i can help but i have just seen your last post was a 2008 !!
