| Greetings all- Not only am I new to this forum, but I am also only about 8 months into my CNC programming experience. I'm using MasterCAM X2 to program a Thermwood CNC router for a custom plastic fab shop. So far the basics have been coming to me fairly easy, but I've run into a couple of situations that have me perplexed, and I've taken alot of advice from these forums to help me through. My latest dillemma is changing the z-shift in the middle of a program. I have tried entering a new setzshift=x.x command at he beginning of an operation, but our machine ignores this and sends the tool to the same depth relative to the first z-shift defined in the program. Any ideas? |
