| We have a Mitsubishi control on a Yang lathe. Although the previously mentioned methods are available on Fanuc controls, I always use G4U1. (1 second dwell) on all my machines. Always refers to the 'U' not the one second. It also works on the Yang. |

| I know SOME controls are configured such that when in IPM mode, G04 means dwell in seconds or milliseconds, and when in IPR mode, dwell means #of revolutions. If you program G04X1., you might get one revolution dwell, and never notice it. Just make sure you're in IPM mode. YMMV |
