    Fanuc T6 Control

    Howdy folks,

I got a job yesterday making a part with an old Okuma turning center with a T6 control.

Two things in G-code I could not get it to do.

    G75. CUT OFF

    I'm use to a two line G75
    G75R50
    G75x.4P200F.002

I tried using a one line format and it did not like that either so I ended up G1ing it.

What is the one line G75 format for the older Fanucs?

I also tried doing a stock up with a M21 for opening the Collet............

Found a link here for that
    http://www.cnczone.com/vb...d.php?p=781290

Any advice on G-code for this machine will help.

    Thanks,
    Patrick

G75X...Z...I...K...F...D... No decimal point in the "D". Two block G75 uses a decimal point with the R-value.

Hardinge uses M21 to open collet, but that doesn't mean that Okuma does. Call Okuma if you don't have a manual for your machine. Or maybe someone with an older Okuma will respond. Did you ask about it on the Okuma Forum?

    Yup, that was it.

I do have a manual, with the formats in it, but particular page was ripped out. I found the page stuffed in the back of a cabinet with a bunck of oil, nuts, bolks ect.............

Took me three tries yesterday till I got one that worked. I was cutting A-286 so I was glad I did.

    g-codeguy G75X...Z...I...K...F...D...

    Thanks g-codeguy

never did figure out what opens the collet........made 40 parts manual stockinging up.

    M5
    GOX.6Z.030
MOO(FOOT PEDAL COLLET OPEN- PULL STOCK- FOOT PEDAL CLOSE COLLET)
    MP8P1

    Thanks for your help,

    I'll try the Okuma page.

    Patrick

Apparently your G75 call is different from anything I have ever seen. Not saying I've seen everything. Never have worked on a 6T. We have one Okuma, but it has one of their own controls on it. Glad you were able to get it working.

    g-codeguy,

    Your format was correct.

    G75X...Z...I...K...F...D...

I was trying to use p, instead of I, because p is used in the two line format.

    Thanks again for your help.
