When trying to open my 2d drawing into GCode I keep recieving the same error msg about changing the layer to one of those in the setup window. Can anyone explain this, it would be much appreciated. Please excuse if its something silly as i'm just begining to teach myself autocad. the file is attached if anyone wants to have a look, thank-you. Last edited by Simon_86; 12-03-2007 at 10:15 AM. |

| Have not run GCode2000, but assume that it relies on the layer of the geometry to know what process to code with the geometry. Go to the setup window of GCode2000 and write down all the layer associated with the different opperations. Then open Autocad and type the layer command, in the layer dialogue box create new layer names to match the GCode2000 layer names. Then change layer name of the geometry (by using the change command) to suit the operation need in GCode2000. I would also join all the closed contour entities with the pedit command. This will show/eliminate problems with open geometry. Hope this helps. JPG |
