Default SL-20 parameters question? | | I just started getting into parametric programming on our vf-2. I am making a plate fixture for 15 pieces, plate lock down holes, piece lockdown holes, and .625 deep clearance holes.
On a reread thru the manuals macros section it says to still use caution with the ~600 global variables (100-199, 500-699, 800-899 ??ranges from memory may not be correct), because probes and pallet loader can also use these. All we have is surface probe, and a tool setter. The 2 days i was adapting one of Gar's example on g52 (temp work offset) i was only using 100-120 and 150,151 is there a way to check the machine defaults to see if either the probe or tool setter uses these, preferably without digging thru all the O9XXX programs that these add ons access.
Also any good tutorials you guys may have bookmarked on the actual work pieces. The only part i am not sure how to do is the probing XY web for centerline at each work piece and coresponding it to the g154p1-100 workoffsets. I would use the g52 plate peperation base program then change the work subs, but i want to be able to only load the probe once and probe the CL for all workpieces. Adding in a user defined "parts to be ran" loop, I have this figured out: Gar.
Simple stuff to you veterans but amazing to greenies
Vets: thanks for all the good posts in simple terms.... if i am getting lost here and there chances are someone else has, 9/10 i find it on here |
