I've got a desktop machine that I do a mostly A axis work on. For resetting my Z zero after tool changes I'm currently using a tool setter at a saved MZ position. I send the spindle to the tool setter, manually touch off, G92 to my A axis zero and I'm good to go. I'm upgrading to a more accurate electronic setter and I'd like to write a macro/subroutine to carry this out. I'm using WinCNC for a controller and according to it's manual, G37 will send the spindle to a specified position and lower it until the switch is tripped. So, will something like this work? G37 Sending spindle to the tool setter G92Z-30 Setting Z for my A rotation axis G0Z50 Raises the spindle out of the way Thanks in advance |
