Fanuc 20T

We have a dainichi DL75 lathe. It has a Fanuc 20T control. If any one is familiar with this control it only has guidance teach programming. You cannot view or edit the g-code program that is generated. And that program is in a different format that ISO. G600 is rapid for example. We would like to know if any one was able to upgrade this control without having to do a complete retrofit. We want to download ISO programs from mastercam.

We have a Kingston lathe with the same controller and the Guidence / Teach function is a pain to learn. The progams created from this can be edited, but it takes a lot of time as you have to insert the spindle on, coolant on and such. It is faster to use Mastercam to generate a program than to use the Guidence / Teach function. Use the RS232 port to download your Mastercam programs. Hope this helps
