I digitized a part using a 0.5 diameter ball. Now I'd like to cut it using a 0.5625 cutter ball. Is there any G-code I can use to do this? I looked for some in my book, and I don't see anything that seems to do what I want. Thanks in advance! |

| 070518-1539 EST USA Depends upon the number of points you obtained, the .25 radii that may exist, the path you want to follow, and desired accuracy. Try using cutter comp, and the cutter ball dia - the probe ball dia for the definition of your tool diameter. For your values you basically need to shift the center of the cutting tool 0.03125 away from the surface perpendicular to the surface. . |
