M-code brings the tail stock up?

Is there a code to bring out the quill?

The list would be helpful. We dont do much work with the tail stock but I want to start learning it now.

M78 Quill advance M79 Quill retract, are you wanting to bring the whole body forword??? the way i allways do that is move the machine to position as it you were going to move it manualy and the position it is at is were you will need to program it "this may be the long way of doing it but thats all i know" then you will use M46 for unclamp and advance bar then move to position and M47 to retract bar and clamp then M78 Quill advance
