    Setting z

I just finished setting up a touch plate to home my z axis. It is .375" thick. I wrote a script to raise the bit by .625" which puts the bit +1.00" above my material. What g code and syntax do I use to reset the Z reading to 1.00" instead of .625".
    Thanks
    Bert

What CNC Control and Machine Tool Brand ?

If it is a Fanuc or Yasnac you will be using a G43 H? (H1 = Tool Offset #1 and H2 = Tool Offset #2)

You can also use a G44 but the standard in the industry is G43.

It would help to know the first question above though.

Sorry I don't know anything about that application. Someone that does will stop in soon to help you.

Thanks Toby. I'm sure it's something simple. All I'm trying to do is set the z coordinates to 1.00".
