| Currently I run two machines, Di Acro & Nisshimbo. Both these machines allow me to program with G Code but provides no graphics. Consequently through testing my work I produce a lot of scrap metal. I was wondering if there exists a computer program that I could type in g code and the program would turn that code into either a flat or 3d graphic. I could then print out the code and copy it into my machines. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

If i am wrong here, somebody please correct me, but i believe that the program to display the graphics has GOT to be written for the type of machine you are using. Generally the mahority of CNC users you hear about are running MIILS & LATHES, therefore the software is designed to display the graphics that correspond to those machines. It is written to understand what will happen with that type of machine when each code is executed. You need to find a program to "Backplot" a CNC Punch file. Backplot is my own term. i am not sure what the proper term is .. Eddie

| Take a look at this site: http://galtran.com/PRR_L2_Constructi...vet_emboss.htm This is a model engineer who uses a cnc punch to make rivets in model trains. May be a similar style of application. Part movement and punch control, but on a larger scale. RipperSoftware |

| Personally I use vericut to verify my gcode. It runs a full simulation of all the cuts the part goes through. Itis also a way to make sure that you don't cut through your clamps or other things like that. Octree also works the same and has marginally better graphics. Their both a bit pricy, but worth it from my point of view. Steven |

| AJFab, Try this little G-Code to DXF program by Wayne Hill. Totally awesome. Thanks, Wayne! Here's a link to the thread here on CNCzone: G-Code to DXF I hope this works for you, HayTay
