back plot program?

I am a second semester student persuing my AA in manufacturing technology. We are currently working on more G-code programming to better understand what is going on with the machine when we are programming. Anyways, I am really struggling with writing G-code programs and found out about back plotters. I think it would be really useful for me for a little while to have a better visual of what my program is actually doing. I was given a back plotter from a friend at school but when I tired to load it my computer detected a virus so I was a little iffy to continue the download and stopped.

Does anyone have experience with backplotter programs and have a reccomendation on one?

Thanks. I figured it was a common question and it would annoy some people. I do not know this forum and struggled a bit but I was also looking for some personal opinon for a newb not looking for an amazing backplotter just looking to see what im telling my basic g code programs to do. The fanuc controllers at school are older and we can not generate tool paths and the haas machines that can everyone is fighting to use so its nice to be able to see my tool path before i just "wing it".

That looks intresting. I will have to look into that more the only downside is I have a 64bit pc so dont think that piticular one will work.
