Am aquiring a 1984 Taki TC-2 with a Fanuc 2T-F control. Looking through the books I see the G32 and G92 thread cycles, but nothing on how to tap. Feel silly here as I used to run CNC Lathes 12 years ago, just not familiar with this control. I'm thinking I need to use a spring pull tap holder and program it line by line for clockwise/feed in Stop motion/Stop Spindle Reverse Spindle/Reverse motion???? or is there a canned cycle that works by leaving out the U(depth per pass) comms? Many thanks, I know it will come back to me fairly quickly, just been a while lol. R Riekens II |

| Manual programming of the tapping cycle is the easiest option, this is for a 1mm pitch thread, using a floating holder, notice is feeds slower going in,then faster coming out,to utilise the float on the holder. N3T0100G97S400M3 G0X0Z2.T0101M8 G1Z-14.F0.99 S0M4 Z5.F1.01S400M4 G0X80.Z80.M9S0 |
