Wink Finding spindle tool number on Fanuc OiMD

Is there a way to find out the tool number that is in the spindle on Fanuc OiMD ?

I do know the method of finding the latest T command but i want to go beyond this and find specific tool number in the spindle.

Thanks

What machine is this? If it's a Doosan I may be able to dig up the information.

Somebody said some time back that there is a special system variable for this on Fanuc, but I cannot recall.

This is a Campro (Taiwan Make) CQV 1300 with Fanuc OiMD controller.

I found the system variable for the tool in the spindle on a Doosan HM6300 with Fanuc 31i! I believe this may also apply to the Doosans with 0iM-D.

#1032 - #1035 are interface input signals (long). This particular one was stored in #1035. You might try reading #1032 to #1035 to see if they exist:

#102=#1032
#103=#1033
#104=#1034
#105=#1035

In this case, #105 was 40 when T40 was in the spindle.

Thanks a lot. I found the Spindle tool number on one machine in #1033.

Another machine with Fanuc OiMD controller does not have this range is system parameters ! I have asked the MTB for info about variables with interface input signals but i' am not sure whether i will get a reply from them.

Any clue where else these parameters could be on FanucOiMD ?

These variables do not seem to be standard features of Fanuc; their manuals do not describe these. I believe MTB defines these. So, these may or may not exist.

My other machine tool builder did finally output the PLC variable G53 into #1033 and now i can read the spindle tool number on both the machines.

Thanks again for the info about Interface input signals (long) as this was the one which helped me in getting the work done by the MTB !
