    Post hw to control a 3 axis, to do a chamfer in a tube...???

    i'm usig TOS and HMT m/c's with Siemens 840D controller...

    i want to a chamfer in a tube..

    1st i w'l finish the bore then i have to do 45deg chamfer for that bore in that tube..

    tube OD 456mm thick 55mm...

    if i want to do chamfer i have to control 3 axis x,y,z...
    any cycle or codes available..??

    how to do that.??

    what you want to do is not clear.
    if you want to chamfer the inner edge of the bore at dia 346mm (456 - 110) just use a 90 degrees chamfer tool and cut a circle with G02/G03 at dia 346. using G41/G42 diameter compensation. adjust the Z minus until the tool just touches the edge of the tube and you get a chamfer.

    G00 X0 Y150.0
    G43 Z100.0 H1
    G0 Z0
    G1 Z-10.0 F500 (adjust Z- to achieve required chamfer size)
    G1 G42 Y173.0 D1
    G2 X0 Y173.0 J-173.0
    G1 Y150.0
    G40
    G0 Z100.0
    G49
    G28 U0 V0 W0

    etc.....
