Okuma OSP5000-LG Tapping

I have an Okuma LB-10 and am getting started on my second project ever. I will be tapping a 10-32 thread into 300 series SS.

The only code I have found in the book for tapping is G-184 but it does not define any variables to be used with it.

I would appreciate a simple example for tapping using this code.

Also, is there a way to peck-tap with this code?

I don't think it's an LB-10m. It's an 88 model if that helps.

M is milling. If you don't have milling, you will need a floating holder. No peck tapping without live tool. I'll look up a tapping cycle tomorrow, I used to just program with igf.

I do not know about your control, but Q is used for peck tapping on Fanucs, defining peck length.
