Ok I'm cheap. I have a DYI 3 axis mill and a rotary table with a stepper motor connected to a Gecko G540. So I guess I have a 4 axis CNC mill (correct me if i'm wrong). I would like to cut threads using a v-bit because it is cheaper than purchasing a thread cutter. Plus my mill does not have the clearance to thread mill a long piece. Is there a free (low cost) program out there to generate the g-code for cutting threads with the 4th axis? I have mach3 as a controller, I have vectric vcarve 6.0 Thanks in advance. |
