 Sharing Cad/Designs/G-Code!! | |
 Being a new kid on the block, I'm trying to soak up as much CNC information as possible and find myself getting quite overwhelmed. I'm converting a lathemaster mill and hope to be up and running in a couple of months.  I'm going to use the machine in my hobby pistolsmith business doing build ups of custom 1911's. Soooooo I was wondering if there is a cad drawing or g code for a colt 45 slide available from any of the zone members that they would be willing to share/sell. I'm interested in the Bomar rear sight and fron sight cuts. Also, top serrations and frame front strap checkering. All kinds of wants and desires!!!!
With all that said and the discussions on open forum information sharing , does anyone have an interest in a thread/directory in the zone where folks can upload gcode for their different projects and designs. I've read of members of the zone cutting parts for other members for building machines and also of engraving and scribing pictures. I just think it would be nice to have a lot of projects to select from and make use of the equipment I'm building. I realize some folks will want to sell their work/designs, but that's OK also. List it and if anyone is interested, paypal them the release fee.
Any thought on the subject???
