I have started to do programming for a new customer using a older version of Cimatron. (version 8) The only difference between the output toolpath is for 2 axis circular moves. They both use I and J, but one seems to be incremental coordinates, the other absolute. Three axis output does not use I and J, so I'm okay there. Does anyone know how to edit a post for Cimatron, or is it possible to change I and J coordinates from incremental to absolute using a macro in Excel? Or is it possible to change the machine to get it to work with incremental coordinates? New machine I'm programming for is a Hurco with an Ultimax III control. Thanks for any suggestions. t2r |

| trubble I don't know about Cimatron. Can you get the code into Excel with the 'I' figures all in one column and all the 'J' in another? Post a few blocks of your code that you require altered (also the block before each G02/G03 so the absolute can be calculated) and I'll see if I can write you a Macro. Kiwi |

Turns out the machining center in question has an "industry standard Fanuc" input option. Once selected, the programs output from the existing post run fine with the addition of a "%" at the beginning of the program. Thanks very much for offering your help. t2r |
