Osai A-B 8600

Hello,
Does anyone know something about FCRSYS for A-B 8600 Osai. Namely I have a problem to force the machine to load data from Tape reader instead mass storage, since HDD is dead and I have BTR which emulates reader and they says that drip feed works perfectly.

Thank you in advance

Thank you. It is helpful . Just one more thing! Do you maybe know anything about running a code from punched tape directly since there is only 64 K of user memory and I need even 5 Mb. Thanks, Nebojsa

Try it in FCRSYS

*4
/PRO
/DYO
IS0

-------------
/PRO is punched tape device
/DYO and IS0 are optional, I`m not sure.

Hi,

I need help on the following issue with OSAI 8600 with Herbert Preoptive 8 Lathe.

I was able to fix some of the hardver problems and startup the OSAI 8600
controller.

I am trying to do a "System Clearout"

which means that some of the memory segments have to be erased.

I have got the following message during the process

""

FILMS1 29 OUT OF MEMORY. this means that " A non existing address has
been addressed with the DEBUG utility".

I have typed the correct memory segment (using the manual) and it is giving this
error message.

Please help me on this or tell me who can I turn to related to my issue.

Thanks

Ferenc

8600 tape loading

As standard the 8600 can load memory from tape but cannot run from tape directly. If you have a BTR unit then that is not OSAI system so I'm afraid you are on your own. OSAI can supply HDU system.
