| When you are dealing with 30, 45 or 60 degrees it is almost mental arithmetic if you remember the ratios between the sides of the appropriate triangle, see the picture for the 30 - 60 - 90 triangle. The 45 - 45 - 90 triangle is even easier, when the two short sides are 1 unit long the hypotenuse is 1.4142. And I suppose I should correct my picture from 1.732 to 1.7321, rounded up from 1.7320508.
