G96 97

hello
I searched about G96 and G88 and G93. but i can not find something.please tell me about g96. what is meaning G96 "Constant surface speed control"
G88 : Boring spindle stop and manual out i do not understand manual out.
G93: inverse time feed rate mode. i do not understand anything about this. i study many pdf but they did not explain about it
please help me
thankyou

G96 is used on a lathe to maintain a Constant Surface Speed. Lathe tools (other than on-center drills) are usually programmed in CSS mode. This will automatically adjust the spindle RPM based on the diameter the tool is cutting. You program G96 S500 M03, and the spindle will run at the proper RPM to achieve 500 Surface Feet per Minute. This also works in Metric mode as Surface Meters per Minute.

As you describe it, G88 is a boring cycle for a mill. It feeds to the bottom of the hole, dwells, and stops the spindle. The operator must then manually retract the tool (either with the Handwheel or Jog buttons). In all the years I've been doing this, I've never seen this cycle used, although I'm sure it must be.

G93 (Inverse Time Mode) is usually used to control the feedrate on a mill when performing simultaneous rotary & linear contouring. Each contouring block will have a F value, which is 1/(time to complete the move). It is very time-consuming to calculate these values manually, but most CAM systems will output inverse time feedrates.

more details about G88:
BORING CYCLE WITH MANUAL RETRACTION
This cycle, G88, is similar to G89 except that the spindle stops
at the bottom of the hole after dwell and stays there. The tool is
then manually retracted out of the hole using the handwheel or
manual jogging, up to the R-point where the spindle restarts in
the clockwise direction. With G99, the cycle ends here. If G98 is
used, the tool retracts to the initial level, at the rapid traverse
rate. Thereafter, automatic operation (i.e., program execution in
AUTO mode) continues. The syntax is similar to other boring
cycles:
G88 G98/G99 X_ Y_ Z_ R_ P_ F_ K_

G88 & G89 are primarily used to prevent bore scratching on tool retract. Tool travels to bore depth, dwells for a specified time, spindle stops, control waits for cycle restart. In manual or jog mode, hand orient spindle, X or Y move to bring tool point away from bore wall, Z retract. Reset bore tool, cycle start, repeat or end cycle.

G96

Constant surface speed (CSS) control (lathe). Increases the RPM as the tool moved closer to the center line of the part (smaller diameter). This keeps the amount of material (chip load) moving past the tip of the tool constant for and improved tool load, tool wear and surface finish. In the example below, the control will do an internal calculation to keep the tool moving at 200 surface feed/second.
example: G96 S200
