Hello to all. I am new to CNC hobby. I have an axminster x2 milling machine and now I am making my first steps to gcode. I wonder if there is a free program that multiplies the gcode in a scale that the user needs. For instance I have an image converted to gcode and I need to make it bigger 5 times. The hard way is to multiply each step individually but takes time...and many mistakes can occur. Thank you for your time. |

| If you use Mach3, you can scale each axis by a factor of 5.

| Like Gerry says, if you're using Mach3 as the controller you can enter 5 as the scale for the X- and Y-axis in the scale DROs on the screen. If you're using a control software that doesn't have this feature a cruel and dirty way of doing it is to simply change the steps per unit so that the machine moves 5 times as far as it's commanded to. /Henrik. |
