| I am running an autoloader on a gt-75 omniturn for a secondary process. Parts are loaded into collet from a rail and ejected into a parts catcher. Pretty simple setup, really. My question is, how can I add an airblow to the setup to blow out the collet in between parts? I can add an airline to the tool bar and aim it at the collet easy enough, but what can I do about automatically activating the air blow, and turn it off after a dwell of x seconds? I have no experience at this kind of operation, but i need to figure it out. Anybody have any experience with this kind of thing? thanks in advance. If not an omni, how about your experience with your control, similiarities might be enough to get me going. |

| I am not sure on your machine but I can give you an example on one that I set up a long time ago. We wanted to clear the chips out of a hole before tapping. There was an M7 code set up to do an airblast and M9 to shut it off. So we programmed it like so. G0X()Y()Z()---position air nozzle over hole M7---turn on air blast G4X2.---dwell for 2sec M9---stop airblast Hope this helps. Stevo |
