    G19 Cutter Comp

    Hello-
Is it possible to use cutter comp, on Z and X when cutting an arch on the YZ plane.

If possible could someone show me a program example of a cut on a YZ G19 cut, with tool length comp, and tool dia comp.

Yes it is. G19 sets the workplane for both arcs and cutter comp. Please try the following example well above the part.

    T1M6
    G00 G54 X0 Y0 S5000 M3
    G43 Z0.1 H1
G19 G41 Y-1. D1 (TURN ON COMP IN YZ PLANE)
    G03 Y1. J1. (CUT 1" RAD. CW ARC)
    G01 G40 Y0 (TURN OFF COMP)
    G00 G17 Z1.0

That depends upon your machine and control/options. Some only have XY comp available.

    G00
G17G43H1Z1. (FOR THE TOOL HOLDER LENGTH)
G19G43H10X.1(FOR THE HORIZONTAL TOO LENGTH, TIP TO SPINDLE CENTERLINE)
    G01X0F10.
    G41D20Y0Z0(COMP LEFT OF PROFILE)
    G02Y-.5Z0R.25 or G02Y-.5Z0J-.25K0
    G01G40Y0Z1.
    etc...

makes a semicircle on the left right of a block, Radius .25. Always picture the geometry in the G19 plane as if looking at it from the X positive side of the machine.
