If you are using an auto zero script for each tool, than you don't want any G43's in your code, as you aren't using it.
Hi Forum,
I am trying understand G43 (tool offset) and ant to ensure my interpretation is correct (et. a sounding board), from reading this is my take (ope for guidance/correction):
- I set stock surface Z (z zero - mach 3 script), usually done with the first tool identified in the code as a touch probe...
- This is 'stored'
- on tool change G43 offset adjust for tool height etc.. (which is ok for auto tool changer, which I dont have)
- this is where everything goes pear shaped
When i do a tool change I use the script to set Z (touch tool script)
so I assume i need to either ensure G43/44 type code on my post processor is removed or cancel the G43 (e.g. G49, HOO or M30 - although i am not sure which would be best of these ?)
any pointers are welcome
