When you use a G76 on a Haas to position the spindle in the proper place before thr Z retract do you need to put an M19 (orient spindle ) in with the G76 somehow ?
Program it and run it in the air to see where the retract needs to be. I think M19 is automatic, but the manual does not state so. M19 after the cycle completes would do you no good I think.
Hi, there is no need to input the spindle orientation code. The orientation is done automaticaly as long as the tool tip have been well oriented when inserted in the spindle.
That is correct.
One only has to initially park the tool in the proper direction.
If it is not obvious, execute G76 in air and find out the angle between the retraction and the tool tip. Thereafter, change the orientation of the tool by the same angle in its parked position.
