    Exclamation Avatar Woes...

I've been trying to set an avatar for some time...however, I keep getting this:

The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 1024 bytes.
1024 bytes?!? I've checked the filesize on others avatars, and they far exceed 1024 bytes. For example, both Bloy and Benny are over 7.0KB - that's 7,000 bytes! I don't even want to upload it, I have my own server space to host it from...I just don't get the super-restrictive filesize set on mine.

    Hi Java,
That size thing MAY be increased for contributing members. I know that you can get unlimited photo space by contributing.....in fact, in spite of all my other expenses, I'm about to make another contribution as this site is SO worth it. I just keep trying to save for that forth gecko so I can slave my Xaxis racks.

    Bloy

P.S. For my Avatar, I wanted to have the text (for the upcoming contest) gradually increase in size, flash and then repeat, but couldn't fit it in the file size.

Well, I've been planning on donating anyways. I can't manage $50 right now though. I was thinking of donating a $20 spot though...not sure if that will make a difference as to avatar size allowed or not.

I think the site is worth supporting as well, and just so we are clear - I didn't mean to single you out - just one of the first "large" avatars I came across.

I just gave you a gift, try to upload your bigger avatar now.
