I will look into it.
I set up a social group for our regional area but don't seem to be able to make much use of it. Can someone help me?
When I post a new message in the social group area I don't think any of our members receive a notification of the new message. I can't see an option in my profile to turn on notifications
Are there any other features available to make social groups more useful? As it stands there's not much benefit in setting one up.
I will look into it.

Thanks Paul. I realize it's a software feature and not necessarily something you can modify but if there's a simple setting to allow email notifications to members of a social group that would be great.
I appreciate whatever you can do.
Good request Gordon.
To answer your question you asked me in a PM, I dont use this feature, but it could be good, as the current method for bulk contacting our BBQ group is saving a txt file to the computer, and copy and pasing all the names to the CC part of the PM.
Thanks Paul for looking into it.

Being outside the square !!!
Thanks for the reply Benny.
Hopefully Paul can dig up some configuration settings to enable notifications for social groups and maybe even uncover additional functionality that can be turned on.
As it functions now, I wonder why V-bulletin even added it as a feature, since it provides such limited functionlilty.
Looks like nobody has any ideas on how this works. Anyone use Vbulletin for other forums?
Some quick Google searching seems to indicate that other VBulletin users are frustrated with the limitations of social groups.
