    Angry

There is still some trouble somewhere. I am logged in but when I select the home link above I get the "VBPortal" telling me I'm not logged in or I don't have access to this page.
    Thanks

Yes, I deleted my cookies by checking the box's and deleting. I always leave the remember me checked.

The reason I first thought I was not being logged in was because when I go to www.cnczone.com.... The home page is displayed to me. (I'm not logged in yet). I click on the top right login text input box, and login. I see the welcome homeCNC screen for a moment then I'm sent to the "Home" screen which can't be displayed for me because of the "Phantom problem" and then I get the vbPortal telling me that:

    1) Im not logged in or...
    2) I don't have access prevlidge to that page. or
    3) I don't remember what 3 was

If I wiggle around by telling the vbportal window to "register me" I can get to another page that has the menu at the top. You know "Gallery, Web links, Magazine, Daily posts, etc. I can then click on "New posts"

After this I can look in the upper right of the screen and see the "Welcome HomeCNC" so I know that I'm logged into the system.

If I click on "Home" then I get the vbPortal again with the three reasons. I guess others have had problems with "Magazine" as well. I have not clicked on that yet.

My guess is this problem has nothing to do with Cookies, cash, or files on my system.

Edit: Magazine and web links have the same problem for me too.
    Thanks

I have none of the problems you describing all the links work for me, I have been on the site on 3 different computers for 35hrs or more with no login issues. The site uses cookies and that is the only why it know who you are. Try putting cnczone in your trusted site option in IE. Is you're IE updated? My programmer in cail has had no login issues ether. I will keep looking for a solution/problem with logins.

    I'm using IE ver 6.0.2800.116IC

Could it be the problem with the "home" button that you don't have the www in front of the cnczone.com?

Gallery shows in the bottom of IE "http://www.cnczone.com/gallery/"
    Maybe "home" should show "Http://www.cnczone.com/"

Edit: No that did'nt help. I tried to just type the www in and I still got the vbPortal again.
    Thanks

When you click the home button it will take you to the VB portal not the forums.

    Yes,

I don't think the Home button when working properly will take you to the "forums" anyway.

    Paul,
Did the cleanout. I did NOT log in. I can get everywhere I want except "Member's List". I must log in to get that. After loging in, I get the "Member's List" and cannot get the "Home", "Web Links" or "Magazine. I can clean house again. Get the everything except the "Member's List" (without logging on). If I want the "Member's List" I must log on then can't get the others without re-cleaning the cookies and NOT logging on.

    Funny Huh?

ditto with Leon in Post 11 - is it possibly ISP related? Firewall/router/??? AT my end not yours.
    edit:
Here's a TWIST! I went to the Gallery - selected a picture to look at - I was recognized as High Seas on the top of the screen (welcome lalalala)
BUT in the box to add comments regarding the pic - I was listed as "unregistered."

Experience is the BEST Teacher. Is that why it usually arrives in a shower of sparks, flash of light, loud bang, a cloud of smoke, AND -- a BILL to pay? You usually get it -- just after you need it.
