Personally, I wouldn't want that at all. It could easily wipe out what you haven't read yet.
An alternitive is to use Mozilla. You can define URLs to update every so often. Besides, the more people that stop using IE the better IMNSHO.

Is there a way that the get new posts could be automatically refreshed say every few minutes, because I keep that page open all day and I am extremely lazy and keep on having to press the get new posts button![]()

Keyboard express and Macro express have ability to perform any windows task that you do, from learning keystrokes and mouse movements to running tasks on timers. I use them to make aditional shortcuts with my cad/cam programs. I used to use them while hosting online spades tournaments to automate multi-function tasks such as bracket solving during play.

Yeah, it's great Paul.
I've switched completely to Mozilla at home, including browser, email, address book etc. The whole suite is sweet.
I'm also in the process of migrating to OpenOffice.org for my "office" stuff. (Nice being able to create PDFs right from OpenOffice without having to buy Acrobat.) And as you're prolly aware, I really can't stand Micro$oft's bloatware any more.
One thing you might want to get for the browser is a plugin that lets you open links in IE, for the very few times I've found a page that wouldn't work, this enables me to see it if I really want to.

Yes, Paul, Bookmarks,/Props/Schedule is where you set it. Lucky guess on the IE.![]()

one small thing unrelated to this thread but discovered while changing over to mozilla. I opened the main page then get new posts and a page came up to enter my password, I did this but it didn't log me in just returned me to the main page. It took me a while to release that it had filled the details on the top left login box where I had to press another box. Sorry to nitpick. excellent site otherwise.

Actually, the forms/password features are much better than IE, and you'll get used to it rather quickly. It does, like anything else, take some getting used to. It's not perfect, but it's open source, which has many advantages. My favorite feature is the tabs. Being able to open as many URLs in the same window is killer, especially after you install the plugin that lets you MOUSE_3 click on a link to open it in a new tab.![]()
Hope you stick with it!

Just had a play with FireFox after reading this thread.
Brilliant software and I loved the "open as tabs" feature but the 2 showstoppers for me are no support for the net buttons on my mini keyboard and no support for secure transactions by my bank.
It took me a little while to sort out importing bookmarks and sorting them but the Mozilla forum has the answers.
Sadly back to IE for me.
IJ,
It is brilliant, isn't it?![]()
It automatically imported my bookmarks the first time I ran it. Both Firebird and Firefox. (Firebird being slightly different and stand alone browser version.)
Also, you might look into the plugins, there may be one to allow secure transactions. Talk to your bank and find out what they require. I also run IE on my machines, but only on rare occasions. They don't fight, and it's like IE doesn't know the Mozilla stuff is there. You can prolly run at least the Firebird with no problems. (Firebird doesn't require an install either, you dump it into a folder and run it. BRILLIANT!)
Just a thought.
