Yes, I am a new user and posted the same reply 3 times as I thought something was wrong with the forum. My posts would not appear. Later in the day all three posts were posted when only one should be.

eg: "New member posts are moderated and will be not be posted for a few hours."
or something along those lines.....

Some posts need to get approved BEFORE they get posted. I have to manually approve the posts.

Yes, I understand know, but as the previous poster suggested perhaps a popup box that alerts the user the post is waiting the approval of a moderator. Right now the new user can keep posting the same message over and over again thinking something is wrong with the forum.

I understand now why this has happened, and it is a very good idea.
After the initial confusion I had while trying to post I thought that there may have been something like this in place, but after looking everywhere I could (FAQ, Guidelines etc.) found nothing to confirm it.
Some sort of notification or warning would be nice.
Possibly in the registration confirmation 'Action Required' email to new members?
A popup after an attempt to post would be the ideal solution.
